Willard Kramer

Former electrical engineer, computer programmer and integration specialist in New York, NY. Senior Associate, SMG Program, at the SIFMA Foundation.

About

I graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 1982, then studied electrical engineering at Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Science, earning a BS in 1986 and an MS in 1988.

I began my Wall Street technical career in 1990. My early work covered foreign exchange front-end deal entry, live data feeds and data collection, in C, C++, Java and DB2, with a focus on database design and data retrieval.

For the past 27 years I have worked at the SIFMA Foundation, where I am a Senior Associate for The Stock Market Game (SMG). I joined the program as a technical consultant and integration specialist, putting together the many pieces of the SMG simulation, and systems integration is still the core of what I do.

Away from work I build and tune my own computing setup, and I write up what I learn here.
